Women fleeing tech jobs because of glass ceiling

  

Climbing the Technical Ladder, a study conducted by the nonprofit Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology, and the Michelle R. Clayman Institute for Gender Research at Stanford University, paints a disquieting portrait of the challenges women face in professional advancement at high-tech firms. Among females in mid-level tech jobs, 29 percent plan to leave in the next 12 months and pursue other options, says Dr. Caroline Simard, co-author of the study.
