CSC wins integration contract

The General Services Administration on Tuesday awarded Computer Sciences Corp. a $50 million Professional Engineering Services contract that will provide systems design and integration to government agencies.

Under the five-year, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, CSC will provide full life-cycle engineering services to agencies. Services included are: strategic planning, requirement analysis, and system design and integration.

CSC, known for its systems integration, information technology consulting and systems development, will also test and evaluate systems, offer integrated logistics support and provide acquisition management, including outsourcing.

"The scope of services offered by this GSA schedule is extraordinary," said Mike Laphen, president of CSC's Civil Group in Falls Church. "Nearly all these services require the value-added business process engineering and technological solutions CSC has been providing its clients for many years."
