IRS renews Unisys pact

Unisys Corp. has received a $100 million contract renewal from the Internal Revenue Service to streamline IT services under TIPSS2

Unisys Corp. has received a $100 million contract renewal from the Internal

Revenue Service to streamline services under TIPSS-2, the Treasury Information

Processing Support Services contract.

Unisys will support information technology and business management projects,

including information services, telecommunications, management and security,

according to company spokeswoman Susan Beck.

The projects also include services ranging from Web-enabling some existing

applications to enhancing voice mail and call center support.

The five-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract continues

Unisys' involvement in the IRS' current systems as the agency embarks on

a multibillion-dollar, 15-year modernization program.

"TIPSS-2 is designed to offer the Department of Treasury the complete range

of information technology support," said Unisys vice president Joe Santamaria.
