Tracking DOD

The fiscal 2001 Defense Authorization Act requires the Pentagon to track

contract actions that include:

* The products or services that are purchased.

* How the products or services are categorized (for instance, commercial

or noncommercial).

* The total dollar amount of the purchase.

* The type of contract.
