CDW-G adds rugged offerings
CDWG will offer Itronix ruggedized, wireless notebooks and handhelds through its GSA contract
CDW-G Inc. has formed a partnership to offer Itronix Corp.'s ruggedized, wireless notebooks and handheld computers through the General Services Administration's Federal Supply Service, the companies announced Tuesday.
Itronix's rugged mobile-computing solutions are designed to withstand extreme heat, cold and humidity, varying sunlight and darkness, drops and vibration.
The company's multiple product lines expand CDW-G's GSA schedule contract offerings for any field application, from light-duty to semi- and ultra-rugged, according to Bill Shafley, CDW-G vice president. Itronix products are already in use by the Coast Guard, the Customs Service, the U.S. Geological Survey, the Energy Department, the Air Force and other Defense Department organizations.
Itronix products include the XC6250 and GoBook notebooks, as well as the fex21 handhelds, which will now be available at GSA pricing through CDW-G.
CDW-G works with about 350 vendors, Shafley said at the FOSE trade show last month.
