A recent report by the Transportation Department's Inspector General found little correlation between the FAA's Acquisition Management System and contract implementation. Some of the contracts the FAA was awarding more quickly also experienced cost growth and schedule delays. The following chart is a sample of delays detailed in a DOT IG report.
