President Bush will nominate Mark Everson to oversee the administration's goal of improving agencies' use of financial information, White House officials said July 17. As controller of the Office of Federal Financial Management at the Office of Management and Budget, Everson would develop governmentwide policy on financial management and systems, including annual audits and reports and overseeing agencies' individual initiatives. The controller works for OMB's deputy director for management, a position that remains vacant.
Everson currently is the vice president for finance and controller for LSG Sky Chefs Inc. in Arlington, Texas.
