Bureau enhancing Treasury IT plan
The Bureau of the Public Debt is seeking suggestions on how to develop an enterprisewide IT architecture
The Bureau of the Public Debt is seeking suggestions from vendors on how to develop an enterprisewide information technology architecture.
The bureau, which is part of the Treasury Department, intends to use Treasury's framework but enhance it with its own plan.
"BPD wants to build upon its current architectural successes and continue to improve its program objectives," the proposal said.
The agency is seeking requests for quotations by Dec. 18 for requirements that include data structures, technology, an employee directory and e-mail software. The cost of this phase of the project is expected to be less than $100,000.
The bureau, which manages more than $5 billion a year, sells bonds and other securities and uses the proceeds to operate the government.
