Biometric vendor on GSA schedule
SAFLINK multi-biometric enterprise security products are available through Radian's GSA contract
SAFLINK Corp. announced last week that its multi-biometric enterprise security products are now available to government agencies through a General Services Administration contract held by Radian Inc.
Radian, a security solutions provider based in Alexandria, Va., has customers throughout the federal sector, including the Defense Department. Its offerings range from Internet-capable logistics services to advanced thermal imaging to biometric identification technologies.
SAFLINK brings biometrics to workstations and enterprise networks. The Bellevue, Wash.-based company's multi-biometric software solutions verify individual identity, protect business and personal information, and replace passwords and personal identification numbers in order to simplify access to systems and enable new online services for customers.
Walter Hamilton, vice president of business development for SAFLINK, said inclusion on the GSA schedule through the Radian contract "streamlines the procurement process so that government customers can acquire and deploy our solutions to add biometric authentication to critical network infrastructures."
Dan Nickell, GSA program manager for Radian, echoed that and said the SAFLINK product line is "an essential component to effective information assurance across a broad range of applications and products."
