Orkand wins $100M Postal contract
The company will provide IT support services for the USPS Maintenance Technical Support Center.
The US Postal Service has awarded a $100 million technical support services contract to Orkand Corp.
Work under the new contract will be done at the Postal Service's Maintenance Technical Support Center, in Norman, Okla., which provides technical maintenance and help desk support for the service's field offices. The contract is for two years and includes four two-year options.
Cal LaRoche, Orkand's chief operating officer, said the new contract would help USPS achieve its cost-reduction and cost-containment goals without sacrificing the reliability of its systems.
Orkand already provides technical and human resources services to Postal Service' National Customer Support Center in Memphis. The company has worked with USPS for more than 13 years.
