Coast Guard awards $48M deal
Anteon will provide IT services for the Coast Guard's Telecommunications and Information Systems Command.
Anteon Corp. won a five-year blanket purchase agreement for $48 million to provide information technology services to the U.S. Coast Guard.
Gene Vogt, Anteon's senior program manager of communication systems, said the initial $15.5 million task order will be for work on the Coast Guard's Telecommunications and Information Systems Command. Anteon, which has an extensive history of working with the Coast Guard, will also assist with enterprise engineering and management services related to Microsoft Corp.'s Active Directory and the move to Windows 2003.
Over the course of the contract, Anteon will be involved in a variety of IT services, including systems integration support, network engineering and design, and evaluation of leading-edge technologies.
"The world of information technology is constantly changing, and the Coast Guard has a great track record for managing IT," Vogt said. "We're happy to support them in today's environment of increased security and interoperability."
