Antitrust unit retains DigitalNet
The company's network administration deal was extended.
The Justice Department's Antitrust Division will keep DigitalNet LLC as its provider for network operation and administration, desktop support, service desk management and end-user training services.
Under a new contract issued to the old provider, DigitalNet will continue issuing services for a base period of two months with four one-year options, according to company officials. The contract was signed under the Justice Consolidated Office Network Blanket Purchasing Agreement and could earn DigitalNet up to $11.5 million.
Gina Abate, DigitalNet's senior vice president, said the company is "extremely pleased" with the contract award.
The FBI recently selected DigitalNet to support the Enterprise Operations Center that monitors and administers systems in the bureau's Trilogy modernization program.
The Herndon, Va.-based firm employs about 1,600 people. It reported $336.3 million in net sales and $10.8 million in net income in 2003.
