Alliant RFP almost ready
Bidders will soon have the information they need to submit proposals on the Alliant contract, a new governmentwide acquisition contract.
Bidders will have the information they need to submit proposals on a new governmentwide acquisition contract soon. The General Services Administration will release the request for proposals for Alliant and Alliant Small Business by the fall, according to documents posted on FedBizOpps.
An earlier posting there cites July 29 as the RFP release date, but the more general time frame was posted more recently and supersedes the earlier document, a GSA spokeswoman confirmed.
GSA officials say the Alliant contracts should be thought of as new contracts and not direct replacements for older GWACs. However, they will generally encompass the information technology products and services offered through Millennia, Applications 'n' Support for Widely Diverse End-User Requirements (Answer) and several other contracts.
The recent FedBizOpps posting also includes agency responses to questions that potential bidders have submitted in response to draft RFPs that GSA issued in late March.
