JBoss certifies first integrator partner

JBoss has certified AEM Corp., an information technology and engineering services company serving the federal government, as its first certified systems integrator.

The decision comes on the heels of the formation of the JBoss Government Group, an organization geared toward building a federal market for the JBoss Enterprise Middleware System (JEMS).

Drew Ladner, formerly chief information officer at the Treasury Department, left his position as president of Zuri Technology to take the lead at JBoss Government Group.

AEM's customers include the Education Department, the Navy, the Air Force and the Smithsonian Institution. The firm recently implemented an agencywide portal for the Defense Department using JBoss Portal, one of the open-source products included in JEMS.

“JBoss Portal is the cornerstone in many of our projects and, in particular, has expedited time to market for our life sciences customers because of the transparency of the source code, which facilitates the [Food and Drug Administration] compliance process,” said Joe Dickman, a managing director at AEM.
