SBA appoints new contracting leader
Anthony Martoccia will be associate deputy administrator for the Office of Government Contracting and Business Development.
The Small Business Administration has appointed Anthony Martoccia, a 30-year veteran of government procurement, as associate deputy administrator for the Office of Government Contracting and Business Development.
Martoccia previously served NASA and the Transportation and Defense departments in procurement management positions. In his new role, he will serve as chief adviser to SBA Administrator Hector Barreto on issues such as the 8(a) and Historically Underutilized Business Zone programs. His organization also oversees the Office of Technology and the Office of Size Standards and Policy, among other duties.
Before beginning his career in the federal civilian service, Martoccia served in the Army and is still a member of the Army Reserve, according to an SBA announcement.
