SRA to support SBA's disaster loan system
SRA received a task order potentially worth $54.1 million under the CIO-SP2i contract.
SRA International received a task order to provide information technology services to the Small Business Administration's Disaster Credit Management System (DCMS). The Web-based system speeds the SBA loan process to aid disaster victims.
The task order issued under the Chief Information Officer Solutions and Partners 2 Innovations (CIO-SP2i) contract could be worth up to $54.1 million during a five-year term.
SBA makes low-interest recovery loans to both homeowners and businesses. The agency's Office of Disaster Assistance undertook the disaster credit modernization initiative to improve the quality and efficiency of loan processing. SRA has supported DCMS since 2002.
Under the new contract, the integrator will continue its DCMS effort with new software and upgrades to the hardware, according to the SRA announcement. It also includes updating system documentation, providing ongoing support to DCMS users, and supporting all IT operations associated with the system.
“Over the past several months, we have worked with SBA to successfully scale the system to meet the higher demand created by the 2005 hurricanes," said Kathleen Adams, senior vice president of SRA's civil sector business. "We will continue to focus on user satisfaction and sustaining and improving the reliability and availability of the system.”
