NIH seeks enterprise Web content system
The agency wants something that can integrate with existing systems in a diverse IT environment.
The National Institutes of Health seeks information about capabilities for Web content management systems that the agency could add to its enterprise architecture as a standard technology. NIH is also interested in technologies for workflow and repository searching.NIH will consider technologies that can integrate with a variety of diverse existing systems to facilitate online content management, according to NIHs Oct. 11 posting on the Federal Business Opportunities Web site. Responses are due Oct. 26.NIH officials want to know how potential technologies would operate with the agencys existing standards and systems and how widely they would apply across NIH. At the same time, agency officials recognize that no one technology would be appropriate for all of NIH at this time, the posting states.The agency is composed of 27 institutes and centers, which have their own Internet and intranet sites with different Web content management requirements.
