SSA awards contract for network equipment services

The Social Security Administration will get network equipment services from Prism Pointe Technologies under a five-year contract worth $35 million.
The company will provide service for 46,000 pieces of hardware in more than 1,500 SSA offices nationwide, and also will relocate the networks and their associated components when offices move, the company said.
The contract has an initial one-year base and four optional one-year renewals.
The company, a veteran-owned small business with about 300 employees, is based in Fairburn, Ga.
