GSA's top financial officer named governmentwide policy office chief
GSA's CFO becomes associate administrator for the agency's Office of Governmentwide Policy.
Kathleen Turco is the new associate administrator for the General Services Administration’s Office of Governmentwide Policy, the agency announced today. Turco had been GSA's chief financial officer; she replaces Michael Robertson, who last week was named GSA’s chief of staff.
In the interim, Micah Cheatham, GSA's budget director, will be acting chief financial officer, while Robertson will continue to serve as the chief acquisition officer and White House liaison, an official said.

Before GSA, Turco worked at the Internal Revenue Service, and she also had been an examiner at the Office of Management and Budget for 10 years.
“Kathleen Turco has been a responsible, effective chief financial officer for GSA for the past eight years,” said Martha Johnson, GSA administrator. “She knows the importance of providing exceptional services to the federal government at best value to the taxpayer and will use this experience well in leading the Office of Governmentwide Policy as we continue to develop and implement management and internal operations policies across government.”
