Continuous monitoring dashboard contract not a done deal
RSA is one of the finalists for DHS' continuous diagnostics and mitigation dashboard, but sources say the selection process is still underway.
Note: An earlier version of this story reported that RSA had won a Homeland Security CDM dashboard contract. According to industry sources. Archer is a finalist for the contract, but the selection process is not yet complete.
Assertions by IT security contractor RSA that its Archer GRC solution had been selected by the Department of Homeland Security as the continuous diagnostics and mitigation dashboard solution may have been premature.
Industry sources familiar with the acquisition questioned statements made by former Navy Rear Adm. Michael Brown, vice president and general manager of RSA's Global Public Sector, in a Sept. 2 blog post that DHS had selected the company for the solution. The selection process for DHS' CDM solution is not yet complete, the sources told FCW.
They said the company winnowing down the options for DHS, Metrica Team Venture, has not made a final selection and the process is ongoing. One source whose company is involved in the procurement said it received notice from InfoReliance -- a firm that is part of the Metrica Team Venture group that received a contract in March to design and implement the CDM dashboard -- saying that a selection had been made in the process. However, the source said InfoReliance had not said that selection was for a final winner.
DHS has declined to comment on Brown's announcement, and neither InfoReliance nor RSA immediately responded to requests for clarification.
