Securing the supply chain. Davidson led the development of a three-part international standard to ensure the quality, security and integrity of the IT supply chain. He said his biggest challenge was convincing people that the money saved in inferior products was not worth the drop in quality and security. Thanks to his efforts, ISO standards now include an updated definition of security, with additional considerations for supply chain risk management. Davidson also helped the Department of Homeland Security and National Security Agency build a new plan for the Cybersecurity Centers of Academic Excellence that cultivates stronger industry and academic participation.
