EPA plans tilt to agile
The Environmental Protection Agency wants to build agility into the acquisition process, move to procure IT services from vendors who specialize in agile and to try to move the culture of the whole agency toward agile methodologies.
What: A pre-solicitation announcement about agile development on behalf of the Environmental Protection Agency
Why: EPA is planning to go agile on an enterprisewide basis. The agency wants to build agility into the acquisition process, move to procure IT services from vendors who specialize in agile and to try to move the culture of the whole agency toward agile methodologies.
EPA is planning on three separate procurements: two multiaward blanket purchase agreements, one covering agile support services and another covering application development services, as well as a single-award agile lifecycle management services contract.
The acquisition is being conducted on behalf of EPA by the General Services Administration. A request for information is expected in early February.
