Implementing Oracle Cloud Federal Financials “brings the best-in-class cloud [Enterprise Resource Planning] that is used by most of the Fortune 500 companies to the U.S. government for the first time,” said gallery Treasurer William McClure.
Oracle announced on Tuesday that the Washington, D.C.-based National Gallery of Art has selected the firm’s Oracle Cloud Federal Financials platform to enhance its financial operations.
The technology company said the financial management solution will enable the art museum to “accelerate financial processes, increase efficiency, improve resource allocation, and enhance decision-making, while addressing federal data security requirements as it continues to deliver world-class programs and exhibitions for its growing audience.”
The National Gallery of Art, established in 1937 by a joint congressional resolution, is one of the largest art museums in the U.S. It is free to the public and hosts millions of visitors annually.
William McClure, treasurer of the National Gallery of Art, said implementing Oracle Cloud Federal Financials “brings the best-in-class cloud [Enterprise Resource Planning] that is used by most of the Fortune 500 companies to the U.S. government for the first time and enables us to put the power of data into the hands of our employees to help them make better decisions."
The FedRAMP-certified platform also includes embedded artificial intelligence capabilities, which Oracle said can help the museum optimize its financial operations and automate other rote tasks.
"Oracle Cloud Federal Financials will help us to establish a more secure and user-friendly financial system, drive operational agility, and maximize the efficient use of donor and taxpayer dollars as we continue to grow our audience and serve the nation," McClure added.
