GSA Seeks Commercial Procurement Data Solution 

The General Services Administration is looking for vendors that can provide a system for data monitoring, reporting and validation, according to a request for information published on Thursday.

GSA seeks a commercial-off-the-shelf solution for Federal Procurement Data System-Next Generation—or FPDS-NG—data monitoring, reporting and validation system. 

Specifically, GSA is asking any potential vendor to have a customized site on the contractor’s website for GSA “that must maintain currency daily with the FPDS-NG system and the Federal Acquisition Regulations” in which the contractor will:

• Provide customized dashboards and reports for up to 3,000 individual user accounts while offering:
  • The ability to filter dashboards and reports based on GSA’s organizational structure and acquisition performance as a whole, for each of the agency IDs and contracting office groupings.
  • Website and dashboard maintenance.
• Check and validate data to identify possible data errors or inconsistencies.
• Have a section for verification and validation of the FPDS-NG transaction review

GSA is also looking for the system to have a way for users to create contractor responsibility reports and for the contractor to provide live, technical support during normal business hours and training sessions at least quarterly.

GSA asked several questions for potential vendors to answer in their responses. For example:

• What data sources are used for data checks and what logic sources are used to develop definitions?
• Is there a process to report exceptions to data checks or validations if a user has sufficient cause the flag is wrong.
• Are notifications for possible data errors or inconsistencies automatically emailed to users?
• What data sources are used in the contractor responsibility reports? How often is this data updated? 
• Could a list of contractors be included in a single request in a contractor responsibility request?
• How long, on average, for a contractor responsibility report to load once the request is submitted?
• Can GSA provide the list of transactions for verification and validation each quarter?
• How many days from the award does it usually take to go live?

GSA noted that this request is only for informational purposes, and it does not guarantee a future contract. 

Responses are due via email to the contracting officer by March 16 at 5pm EST.
