Zero Trust: A Poll on Data Security in Federal Government

The prevalence of data breaches in the public sector have made it clear that the cybersecurity model government agencies have long operated under is insufficient. One alternative is a strategy experts refer to as Zero Trust, in which safeguards are applied wherever data resides, not just at the network perimeter. With an ever-growing list of devices connected to their networks, are agencies taking steps to implement such an approach? To find out, Government Business Council (GBC) polled a random sample of 139 defense and federal respondents in July and August of 2019.
