Dix leaves IT subcommittee
Citadel Security hired congressional staffer Bob Dix to be the company's vice president of government affairs and corporate development.
Robert Dix, staff director for the House Government Reform Committee's Technology, Information Policy, Intergovernmental Relations and Census Subcommittee, is leaving that position to join Citadel Security Software as vice president of government affairs and corporate development.
Dix has more than 25 years of private-sector management experience, which Citadel officials expect to be advantageous for his new position. He will lead Citadel's efforts to broaden both public- and private-sector markets in the United States.
"I am excited to join a recognized industry leader in automated vulnerability remediation solutions and the extraordinary team at Citadel," Dix said in a press release. "Citadel is a company that brings vision and innovation to the security marketplace with a unique suite of products that has demonstrated measurable results in improving the information security profile for its customers."
A statement from Rep. Tom Davis (R-Va.), chairman of the Government Reform Committee, described Dix as "that rare individual who cares more about doing good than getting credit."
