xDefenders to sell ZixCorp encryption
The arrangement also covers ZixCorp’s ZixPort.
Messaging security vendor ZixCorp this week unveiled a reseller deal with xDefenders, a Rochester, N.Y.-based security specialist with state and local government customers.
Under the pact, xDefenders will be able to sell ZixCorp’s enterprise e-mail encryption service, desktop e-mail encryption service, and e-mail security assessment tool. The arrangement also covers ZixCorp’s ZixPort, which adds secure communications to portals.
Both companies pursue the government vertical, with xDefenders counting a number of New York State counties among its clients. The company also lists the New York State Department of Human Rights and the City of Rochester as customers.
The company provides professional and managed information security services to financial, health care, education and commercial clients and government customers, said Jeff Thon, xDefenders’ vice president of marketing and sales.
ZixCorp, meanwhile, pursues local, state, and federal agencies. Fontana, Calif., is among the company’s users.
