Cloakware recruits government resellers

Cloakware, which develops products and services to protect digital assets, seeks companies with strong security practices.

Cloakware plans to recruit small-business resellers as the company seeks to broaden its reach in the government market.

The company, based in Vienna, Va., offers products and services aimed at protecting software and other digital assets. Products include Cloakware Server Password Manager (CSPM), a solution for managing unattended application passwords and privileged account passwords. CSPM targets organizations with more than 200 servers, according to the company. Cloakware also provides CSPM Express for organizations with 200 or fewer servers. The company aims its products toward government agencies and Fortune 1,000 companies, among other customers.

Cloakware expects to sign five to seven government resellers this year, said Terri Allen, the company’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer.

The company is seeking small businesses with a strong security practice, Allen added. Small businesses of interest include 8(a)s; Alaska Native corporations; service-disabled, veteran-owned businesses; and Historically Underutilized Business Zone businesses.

Cloakware decided to pursue a channel program to get “more feet on the street,” Allen said.

Cloakware already has one government partner: ShieldWolf Technologies. ShieldWolf is a veteran-owned small business that provides engineering services. The company offers security auditing and compliance, among other services.
