DARPA awards security pact

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has awarded a one-year, $12 million contract to Analex, a government provider of intelligence and security engineering services in Fairfax, Va. The cost-plus-award-fee contract includes four additional one-year options, with a total potential value of $64.9 million.

Analex’s subsidiary Beta Analytics International (BAI) will administer the contract with Trinity Technology Group a subcontractor.

Under terms of the contract, BAI will provide professional security services to DARPA’s Security and Intelligence Directorate in the Washington, D.C., area and at unspecified contractor sites that protect the agency’s technology, people and infrastructure.

The directorate manages information, personnel and physical security programs for DARPA. These include declassification activities, security management and the Communications Security Program. It also represents DARPA concerning security matters with external organizations.
