Public to get peek inside DISA, NSA

The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and the National Security Agency (NSA) will share information about emerging technology and provide examples of technology partnerships between them March 17 at a public event, DISA officials said.

Today is the last day registration is open for the event, its organizers said. Registration is open to all U.S. citizens and costs $80. The fee covers event materials, meals and exhibit floor access.

The event is focused on providing information to the following audiences: companies and entrepreneurs; current and potential NSA and DISA contractors; state and local economic and workforce development professionals; business development professionals; and federal lab directors and staff members, the organizers said. 

Agency officials, including chief technology officers, will provide an overview of the work done at DISA and NSA, and officials will provide examples of technology transfer partnerships between the agencies.

DISA and NSA are partnering with the Maryland Technology Development Corporation and the Tech Council of Maryland on the program. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kossiakoff Center — part of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory — in Laurel, Md.
