Crane is responsible for a five-year strategy to provide a secure and trusted computing and information-sharing environment at DHS. In that role, he must coordinate the efforts of all the department’s information security organizations.
He also is co-chairman of the CIO Council’s Network and Infrastructure Security Subcommittee. He has established a collaborative rapport with colleagues across government and is a recognized leader in the areas of social media and cloud computing.
“Crane has been a model leader whose results-oriented performance has made a notable difference in advancing the security of social media and cloud computing,” said Robert Carey, the Navy Department’s chief information officer.
