Ridgeway has been the catalyst for a range of initiatives to strengthen the Justice Department’s information technology security.
She established the Justice Security Operations Center, which has set a standard of excellence for other agencies by reducing network intrusions and security incidents by 80 percent. Ridgeway also has implemented defensive measures to ensure that the network remains available in the face of external threats.
“Holly Ridgeway is a brilliant technology executive who has been able to challenge and energize a talented DOJ staff to collaborate with partners from government, industry and academia to create innovative solutions,” said Kevin Deeley, the department’s IT security director and deputy chief information officer.
