Federal 100: Richard Johnson
Richard Johnson
Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Services
Johnson was instrumental in boosting the company’s cybersecurity defenses last year by focusing on the resiliency of its internal systems. He then applied that experience to help meet the security challenges of government customers.
Education is another key focus for Johnson. He is chairman of the advisory board for Montgomery County, Md., Public Schools’ National Academy of IT, which introduces students to career opportunities in the digital workforce. He also was lead advocate for Lockheed Martin’s Cyber University and worked to establish IT security curricula and degree programs at the college level.
“Rick has...led our response to the cybersecurity challenge, shaping our vision and positioning our enterprise to help ensure mission resilience for our customers and our business,” said Linda Gooden, executive vice president of Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Services.
