Shawn Henry

Henry managed the FBI’s cybersecurity centers and led the bureau’s fight against cyber terrorism, computer espionage, online organized crime and cyber threats to critical infrastructure.

He solicited input from the private sector and got many agencies involved to make sure the centers could share information appropriately across government. He also raised public awareness about cyber threats.

“Henry has played a pivotal role in raising global awareness regarding the need to secure our digital infrastructure as well as driving partnerships internationally,” said Melissa Hathaway, the Obama administration’s former acting senior director of cyberspace. “Shawn has dedicated his career to strengthening the national security of our country.”

Earlier this year, Henry began a new job as assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Washington, D.C., field office.
