Federal 100: Davis Hake
Davis Hake
Legislative Assistant
Office of Rep. Jim Langevin
House of Representatives
Davis Hake is arguably the House’s hardest-working aide, at least when it comes to making cybersecurity issues accessible for fellow staffers and lawmakers.
He is the driving force behind the House Cybersecurity Caucus, which his boss, Rep. Jim Langevin (D-R.I.), co-leads. Hake keeps people on both sides of the aisle informed through weekly e-mail updates and cyber information briefings for industry and government, which he holds in the Capitol Visitor Center to make them convenient for staffers.
Back in Rhode Island, Hake launched the first statewide high school cybersecurity talent search as part of the U.S. Cyber Challenge, which offers young people the chance to win recognition, scholarships and opportunities for further learning.
