Selling their products is the primary passion of most government contractors and the people who work for them. So when someone puts a lot of work into producing game-changing results with very little money on the line, it gets noticed.

Jamie Dos Santos committed her time and her company’s resources to shepherding a pilot program through to completion to show how network-monitoring technologies can protect agency networks.

She shuttled between the Homeland Security Department, the Defense Department and Capitol Hill, sharing insights and strategies for how the technologies could help. It’s the kind of handholding you don’t often see from senior executives, but it resulted in a measurable boost to network security.
