DHS cybersecurity exec leaving
The Homeland Security Department is losing an assistant secretary for cybersecurity, effective today, according to a report by Politico.
Homeland Security Department cybersecurity executive Greg Schaffer is leaving the department, effective March 2, according to the Politico newspaper.
Schaffer currently serves as assistant secretary for cyber security and communications, according to his LinkedIn profile.
He previously was acting deputy undersecretary, National Protections and Programs Directorate, and assistant secretary of cyber security.
According to Politico, Schaffer is returning to Arkansas with his family, and there is no word yet on a replacement.
