The impact: Thanks to Roy’s efforts, NIEM has gained widespread acceptance, providing a major boost to initiatives that safeguard and share terrorism-related information.
The nuts and bolts: Roy led two innovative pilot programs with Mexico and Canada, directed major training events, led influential working groups, and hosted interagency summits. She has been the driving force for NIEM becoming the de facto standard for efficiently sharing information in the United States and internationally.
