The work: Creating a more coordinated approach to cybersecurity among disparate operating units across DOE.

The impact: Locatis created the Joint Cybersecurity Coordination Center, which applies a proactive approach to risk management policy enterprisewide and vastly improves situational awareness, incident management and cross-agency collaboration.

The nuts and bolts: Locatis optimized IT service delivery by applying cyber solutions across a department characterized by distinct and geographically separated units. He also established a partnership with the Homeland Security Department that strengthens collaboration and the cross-governmental sharing of cyber information.
