Transportation seeks partners to help assess network security

Lawmakers have called on government to be proactive with cybersecurity.
The Transportation Department is seeking partners to help it test the resilience of air and ground transportation systems against cybersecurity threats, a solicitation shows.
Transportation’s research laboratories are seeking organizations that can verify emerging technologies and automation tools, audit transportation systems and test spectrum systems critical to air traffic control operations.
The call for partners comes as lawmakers have warned the government must be proactive against attacks to the nation’s physical infrastructure.
