NSA director warns of cyber threats
Gen. Keith Alexander cites need for access to information to thwart attacks.
Gen. Keith Alexander made a new pitch for access to threat information from the private sector in order for the Defense Department to protect the nation’s cyberspace, reports William Jackson in GCN.
Alexander, National Security Agency director and leader of the U.S. Cyber Command, made his case in a speech at the American Enterprise Institue on July 9.
"The threat of cyberattacks is escalating, both because online communications are becoming more tightly interwoven in our economy and national security and because the attacks themselves are becoming more sophisticated and dangerous," Jackson wrote. Read the full article here.
