Pentagon contractor leaks classified data to Chinese national girlfriend

Hawaii-based Army reservist with a top secret security clearance allegedly shared classified intelligence with a woman from China he met at a conference on international military defense. The 27-year-old woman might have attended to target individuals who had access to classified information. The man, 59, reportedly works for defense contractor Referentia Systems Incorporated at the U.S. Pacific Command and has since been arrested.

 “One email allegedly contained data on existing war plans, nuclear weapons, and relations with international partners. . . According to authorities, the unauthorized disclosure could cause serious damage to national security.”

The contractor’s attorney said, "As you can expect, this is devastating. Like I say, he has served his country honorably for 29 years and he maintains he would never do anything to intentionally harm the United States.”
