Visitors to North Korean-related sites exposed -- again

South Korean allies and the communist regime’s supporters continue their online duel. Users of three North Korean-related websites recently had their personal details published by Anonymous. The information dumped includes names, email addresses, usernames and, in some cases, addresses and phone numbers.
The victims were readers of the Japan-based Choson Sinbo (조선신보) newspaper, the China-based Ryomyong (려명) site and the U.S.-based Korea American National Coordinating Council (재미동포전국연합회).
“All three sites carry Korean-language content and appear to have a large number of Korean members, denoted by Hangul names and addresses. In some cases, the addresses listed are inside the DPRK.”
The intrusions are part of an ongoing Anonymous campaign, OpNorthKorea, that is targeting North Korean-related sites.
“The attacks began when North Korean state media began issuing threats against U.S. interests in Asia and western media began reporting on those threats.”
