Measuring cybersecurity progress

The federal government has made progress toward the Obama administration’s priority cybersecurity capabilities, but is not likely to meet the Cybersecurity Cross-Agency Priority goal by the end of fiscal 2014, according to a report posted to Performance.gov.

The goals were first enacted in the fiscal 2013 federal budget, and are part of a larger set of cross-agency priorities that grew out of the Government Performance and Results Modernization Act of 2010 and subsequent Office of Management and Budget programs. The law requires quarterly progress reports to be posted to the public website.

Below is a look at agency progress on individual components of the security CAP -- including continuous monitoring and progress on the Trusted Internet Connections initiative -- and the CAP overall, measured in percentage of the goal achieved. Click here to read the full report.
