South of the border, activists hack the U.S. system
Government (U.S.) // Technology // United States
A self-described cyber activist group based in Latin America penetrated an American software trade magazine as a protest against the “system,” Hot for Security reports. The “Black Team Security” group defaced App Developer Magazine, and then posted an anti-governmental message.
“Only the people save the country,” the intruder said on the vandalized web page. “F**k system, f**k the government, we are coming after you. Hacking is not a crime.”
As part of a bigger movement -- #Opindependencia Latinoamerica, the hacktivists say they will fight for “less corruption and more democracy.”
The group recently opened an official website registered on a “.pk” domain to share materials about hacking.
HotForSecurity warned that the affected page might later be loaded with malware.
