Kirsten E. Dalboe: Keeping DHS ahead of the tech curve
As DHS' customer engagement manager, Dalboe has made it her business to explain new technology with crystal clarity.
In her three years at the Department of Homeland Security, Kirsten Dalboe has shown the expansive organization how to use emerging technologies more effectively.
As DHS' customer engagement manager, she has played a key role in enterprise systems development at the Office of the CIO and has made it her business to explain new technology with crystal clarity.
Equipped with what her colleagues call a keen understanding of the office's tech strategies, she led the creation of strategic documents that have shaped DHS' use of mobile and cloud technologies. She has also been actively involved in digital governance initiatives in the broader federal IT community and coordinated DHS' reporting of progress on milestones and deliverables.
"Kirsten has, by far, received more positive feedback for her efforts than any other employee I have personally coached and supervised in my more than 30 years in the IT field," said Matthew Morris, DHS' director of cloud support and project management.
