Caribbean is no refuge from hackers
Hospitality // Basseterre, Saint Kitts
Unauthorized changes were made to a key regional tourism website.
To deface sites, hackers often use an old and common technique called SQL injection, according to the Caribbean Cyber Security Center. This tactic allows attackers to gain administrative access to a site or, in some cases, the host’s network.
The center believes that the best way for Caribbean organizations and governments to prevent site vandalism is to subject their sites to application vulnerability testing and hosting platform vulnerability testing.
