Nvidia Suffers Data Breach

The graphics tech company notified employees in a Dec. 17 email about “unauthorized access” to its computer network.

The compromise affected “a number of employee usernames and passwords,” according to the privacy notification. All employees were required to reset their corporate credentials. Since the California Office of the Attorney General was informed, the number of affected personnel is more than 500.

The company believes the breach is limited solely to the passcodes. 

The company implemented security enhancements during the weekend of Dec. 13 to prevent any similar intrusions in the future.
