He led the push to change the way the Justice Department manages supply chain risk in its IT acquisition, as required by Congress. And he helped establish an Insider Threat Prevention and Detection Program as part of a White House effort to tighten access controls and evaluate potential risks posed by employees and contractors. Additionally, Cox led a team that responded to 7,000 incidents in 2014 and made sure the White House was kept apprised of progress on Justice's security posture.
