Mobile Version of Washington Post Taken Over by Syrian Electronic Army

Smartphone users visiting the Washington Post’s website this afternoon were welcomed by messages purporting to come from the pro-Assad hacktivist group.
The homepage and some section fronts redirected users to a site allegedly operated by the hackers.
The little pop-up messages included: “You’ve been hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army,” and “the media is always lying.”
Update, 1:43 p.m.: The mobile site now appears to be working normally.
Update, 3 p.m.: Shailesh Prakash, chief information officer at The Washington Post, says no customer information was affected by the incident:
